Air Pollution

Air Pollution is a very dangerous thing that is slowly destroying the ozone layer. It puts out harmful chemicals into the air. This also causes climate change that can harm the ecosystem. There is also a 47 percent increase of pollution since the beginning of the Industrial Age.

Water Pollution

Water Pollution is another dangerous type of pollution. It is mostly caused by oil spills into the water and kills many aquatic species around the world. Another one of its causes is trash inside the ocean, the biggest trash patch in the world is a patch in the Pacific Ocean. It moves around from the west to the east and damages the ecosystem. There also many other trash patch, but this is the biggest.

Waste

Waste is another big problem for the ecosystem. It hurts the ecosystem by the landfills that cover the earth's surface.  In one year, 300 million people, each producing 3.5 pounds of trash per day, create something like 18,433,779,281 cubic feet of trash, which is a lot. If you made the pile 400 feet deep (as tall as a 40-story building), it would cover more than 1,000 acres of land.

How do we save resources? Saving energy includes, turning off lights when you leave a room, turning off your television when you done with it, taking shorter showers, and last but not least, turn off your tap when you are not needing water like after you wet your toothbrush, turn off your water or like hand washing dishes, when you are not needing the water, turn off your tap.
